Bolts and other linked fasteners A, B, C grades refer to the production accuracy grade of bolts. According to the production accuracy, ordinary bolts can be divided into three grades: A, B, and C, A and B grades are delicate bolts, C grade is rough bolts, and for steel structure link bolts, unless otherwise stated, they are usually crude steel and C bolts.
The following is a small series to take you to understand the classification of high-strength bolts:
   1. Friction type high-strength bolts: suitable for the connection of steel frame structure beams and columns, the connection of solid web beams, the connection of heavy-duty crane beams of industrial plants, the connection of braking systems and important structures bearing dynamic loads.
   2. Compressive high-strength bolts: can be used for shear connections in static load structures that allow a small amount of sliding or components that indirectly bear dynamic loads.
   3. Tensile high-strength bolts: When the bolt is tensioned, the fatigue strength is low, and its bearing capacity is not easy to exceed 0.6P under dynamic load (P is the allowable axial force of the bolt). Therefore, it is only suitable for use under static load, such as flange butt of compression members, T-joints, etc.
