This 12-point bolt features a twelve-point drive head. Compared with conventional hex bolts, it withstands higher tightening torque with uniform stress distribution, and works well with torque wrenches even in confined spaces. The head is hot forged from bar stock, with precision rolled full-profile threads. Made of 2205 duplex stainless steel with austenite-ferrite dual-phase microstructure, it has much higher yield strength than 304 & 316L, and excellent resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Matched with nuts and washers of identical material to prevent galvanic corrosion. It is the preferred fastener for wind turbine tower and nacelle flange connections.
